Barney Goodman Camp

Each day, Barney Goodman Camp excites and amazes. Our program encourages campers to try everything! Sports, cultural arts, team building, and aquatics are a part of each and every day. Campers come together for Shabbat celebrations, themed events, field trips, cookouts & undernights and more.     

  • American Red Cross swim lessons twice a week and free swim every day

  • Chugim: campers choose electives ranging in interest from art to sports to drama and more

  • Friday all-camp special events with field trips 6/25 & 7/23

  • Shirim: song sessions 

  • Undernights 7/7 & 7/28: Stay until 9 pm for cookout, activities, songs and s'mores!

  • Weekly Israel programming with Israeli shlicha 

  • Wild Wednesday spirit days

  • Bring dairy or pareve (non-meat) lunch or purchase lunch from The Center

  • Part-timers enjoy all Barney Goodman activities except chugim, which take place Tuesday/Thursday

  • Depending on enrollment, part-timers may be in self-contained groups or integrated with full time campers

In addition, each age unit offers special interests in each session:

NITZANIM (Grades 1 & 2): Get into the fun of camp, building independence with friends & adventures! Wild Wednesdays will have an added blast of excitement with groups blended for mysteries, contests, tournaments and more!

CHAVERIM (Grades 3 & 4): Along with a variety of new and favorite activities, and spending time with friends, Chaverim will expand creative horizons with weekly scholars-in-residence: Session 1: Science / Session 2: Art & Ceramics / Session 3: Creative Writing / Session 4: Around the World Cultures & Foods. 

BOGRIM (Grades 5 & 6): In addition to sports, in-depth arts & crafts, games, and Youth Fitness Zone, our oldest campers will enjoy great traditions such as The Overnight on 7/28, lunch at our pool snack bar each session, extra field trip, BLING* & UNDER CONSTRUCTION* sessions, and organizing two camp mitzvah projects.
