Movie Matinee
A young man who survives a disaster at sea is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. After the sinking of a cargo ship, a solitary lifeboat remains bobbing on the wild blue Pacific. The only survivors from the wreck are a sixteen-year-old boy named Pi, a hyena, a wounded zebra, an orangutan and a 450 pound royal Bengal tiger. The scene is set for one of the most extraordinary and beloved works of fiction in recent years.

Yiddish Films
Ray Davidson* brings vintage Yiddish films to the JCC on the fourth Sunday of every month

* Ray hosts The Yiddish Circle, a weekly gathering of people learning and loving the language of Eastern European Jews while enjoying a delicious lunch that he prepares. She also has a tradition-minded Bubbe who hires a matchmaker to find a husband for her. The prospect? The corner pickle seller! Ray will host a discussion after the film Starring Amy Irving.

S.M.A.R.T Men
The S.M.A.R.T. Men (Sports Minded Adults Reminiscing Together) meets once a month on Tuesdays. Gentlemen gather in the Multi Activity Center, in the White Theatre wing, from 8:30 - 9:00 am for a complimentary continental breakfast. A guest speaker follows at 9:00 am. All men age 65+ are invited to attend. Reservations are required and may be made by calling 913-327-8046. There are no membership fees required and one does not have to be a Center member.
