That is what Power Yoga can offer you. Yoga means to yoke or to join dynamic breath with postures and awareness. The only way to hold aging in check is to challenge ourselves both physically and mentally. For many, vigorous yoga practice holds the promise of youthfulness and a higher quality of life. This is not a competitive form of exercise. You listen to your own body and go at your own pace. Our instructor, Anne Jacobs, has over 30 years in the dance and fitness industry and 12 years of yoga training. She is a certified and registered Yoga Alliance instructor. In her classes, she leads you through fun, flowing yoga routines, designed to sculpt your body while quieting your mind. Join the many others who have witnessed lower stress, higher energy and increased flexibility, strength and confidence. Look and feel healthier and younger! Yoga Schedule Hatha Yoga Basics consists of poses to Increase flexibility, balance and circulation. Participants will leave the class feeling relaxed, refreshed, well toned, more flexible, calmer and stronger. This style of yoga is noncompetitive; students do not compare their abilities, nor do they try to ‘keep up’ with anyone. Hatha Yoga unquestionably offers one of the finest forms of stress management and relaxation techniques and as a sound method of health enhancement. Particularly applicable for sports injuries, high blood pressure, heart conditions, arthritis, fibromyalgia, lower back problems, poor posture, pregnancy, anxiety, depression. (All levels are welcome). Hatha Yoga This 90 minute practice is specifically designed to deliver total health through balancing & strengthening of every system in the body in order to prevent illness, injury and limit the effects of aging. (All levels, beginners welcome) Vinyasa is a system of yoga that emphasizes the connection between movement and breath. This fun and inspiring practice is composed of a challenging sequence of postures that emphasizes strength and flexibility, while working to focus and calm the mind. It is especially well suited for active people that are looking for a workout. (Some yoga experience recommended)
