Youth Fitness Zone

The Youth Fitness Zone program is designed to make fitness fun while building your child's self esteem. Interactive equipment and Wii™ games will capture their attention. Nutrition and other educational components combined with fun exercise will engage them in learning more about their own personal health and fitness.
The Zone provides an array of activities to choose from which include:
- Dance Dance Revolution®
- Nintendo Wii® + Wii Fit®
- Expresso® virtual reality training bikes
- Climbing rock wall
- Hoggan® strength training
- Sportswall interactive fitness system
- Adventure activities
The Youth Fitness staff will keep your child interested by setting up a work out plan that includes using the Zone and instructors as a resource while having the freedom to explore the other areas of The Center available to their age group.
Remember starting your child early is the best way to instill and maintain a long life of fitness and the Youth Fitness Zone is open to all members ages 6-14! Please note, members 6 years of age are limited to 60 minutes in the YFZ. Our Youth Fitness Zone is special and unique. There is no fitness facility or gym in the area that provides this kind of comprehensive fitness program for kids, ages 6-14.
Youth Fitness Zone Fees:
- Family and Single Parent members: $10/month for unlimited daily use of any family member ages 6-14.
- Family and Single Parent members Combo Pass: $15/month unlimited daily use of the Youth Fitness Zone and Babysitting Room.
- Walk-in members and non-family members: $5/visit. No second child discount available.

Youth Fitness Assessment 6-14 years $43.50 / $29 with member discount This assessment provides a baseline to compare fitness progress over time and is essential for the process of program enhancements in youth health management. Assessments will help to identify fitness levels for each child in the following: strength, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance and body composition. Once this is accomplished an exercise specialist will help develop obtainable health and fitness goals for your child, and will teach them how to make the most of the Youth Fitness Zone and Center facilities. Please bring your child ready to workout, dressed in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Youth Fitness Assessment is by appointment only. To schedule an assessment, call 913-327-8010. |

Youth Training 13-15 years This training is perfect for teens who want to begin a
resistance training program. Participants qualify by completing an hour of training
on our Cybex weight equipment, basic orientation on the cardio equipment that
is best for their use, followed by passing our Youth Training Exam. Training
will include basic principles of aerobic, strength training and nutrition.
After successful completion, participants will receive a blue wrist band that
will indicate they have been given proper instruction and they are free to
continue with their fitness program. All youth 13-15 who wish to use the
