Children enjoying the pool at the JCCGiving – A Way of Life
Tzedakah, the Hebrew word meaning justice or righteousness. Sometimes it's mistranslated to mean charity. Despite varying points of view about the precise meaning, all agree it's a good thing. Besides being a commandment from the Torah, it's an important part of the values that we as a society cherish and teach to our children.

Contrary to popular myth, most charitable dollars come from people like you rather than corporate or foundation gifts. Now's the time to consider how you can join others to help the Jewish Community Center and help yourself as you work on your taxes, by making a charitable contribution.

Who doesn't marvel at the respectful and caring attention given to the children in CDC and the seniors in the Heritage Center? Provocative speakers visit the Center and challenge us intellectually. The annual Jewish Film Festival elicits laughter, tears and feelings of shared experience. The Center for Health and Human Performance keeps our bodies strong and minds alert.

In offering these programs, the Center's commitment to cost containment and financial accountability is unflagging. But often, that's not enough to cope in an era of rapidly rising costs. Help is needed and you can make a difference.

Consider making a gift to the Center now and also a gift for the future. For more information on charitable giving and future bequests, please contact the Center at 913-327-8000.
