Preschool/Kindergarten Sports

Little Dribblers Basketball
4-5 years (Kindergarten 2012)
This popular parent/child class for children entering kindergarten in the Fall of 2012 is led by JCC staff. Children are introduced to the basic skills of basketball using age appropriate learning progressions and equipment. While individual skills are the focus; game playing is introduced as well as the program progresses. Not only are the children learning, but the parents are acquiring the key teaching points to help their child further develop their basketball skills. T-shirt & award included.



Dribblers Basketball
5 - 6 years (current Kindergartners)
In this popular basketball program for kindergartners, children are introduced to the basic skills of basketball using age appropriate learning progressions and equipment. The program is led by JCC staff to insure consistent, high quality instruction. While individual skills are the focus; games are played on Sundays in January and February. T-shirt and award included.

Little Strikers Soccer-Spring

This joint program between the JCC and the KC Strikers Soccer Club provides instruction by a trained staff of coaches under the supervision of the Director of Coaching for the KC Strikers.  Children will have fun learning soccer skills and playing games each week.  All sessions take place on the JCC ball fields.  T-shirt and an award are provided.

3/4 year olds - (entering Kind. in the Fall of 2013) 


Skill Builders Soccer League Girls & Boys

Skill Builders is the JCC’s unique approach to youth sports featuring quality, consistent coaching by knowledgeable coaches provided by the JCC and practices offered multiple times per week that are run like skills clinics.  This approach allows for greater convenience and more opportunities for skill development.  While participants are encouraged to come to as many practices as possible to gain the maximum skill development, attendance at all practices is NOT required.  This joint program between the JCC and the KC Strikers Soccer Club provides instruction by a trained staff of coaches under the supervision of the Director of Coaching for the KC Strikers.  All practices and games will take place at the JCC.  Jersey and an award are included.
